Frequently asked questions
Do I need a subscription?
No. mee-lang is free for the site language plus one more, WooCommerce included. More languages come with the Pro add-on, a one-time payment, yours forever. The translation provider's API key is yours: with manual entry you pay no provider.
Do the translations stay with me if I uninstall?
Yes. Translated pages are real WordPress pages and stay where they are. Uninstalling removes the plugin's settings, including the API key; the translation cache table is kept.
Can I translate a sentence manually and let the rest be automatic?
Yes. Translate automatically, then open any translated page and correct it by hand in the editor you already use.
Is WooCommerce billed separately?
No, the shop is built in.
Can I import translations I already made with WPML, Polylang, TranslatePress, qTranslate-X or WPGlobus?
Yes. mee-lang reads the existing groups from those plugins and writes only its own meta. The source is never deleted; you turn it off when you have verified everything is correct.
